Stitching Leggings: #9 Schwarz & Weiß / Black & White

Ich habe mich - seit ich Bilder im Internet gesehen habe - sehr auf dieses Wochenende gefreut. Der WWF ist auf Panda-Tour und hat nun auch Hamburg erreicht. Ich hatte leider nicht so viel Zeit, habe aber - nachdem es am Morgen nur geregnet hat und alles abgedeckt war - den frühen Abend genutzt um ein paar Fotos zu machen.

Es gibt weltweit nur noch 1600 Pandas. Das ist eine erschreckende Zahl. Ich finde es deshalb großartig, dass der WWF durch solch eine - für den Besucher ja sehr niedliche - Aktion, auf dieses Problem aufmerksam macht. Gerade die Gespräche die ich selber mithören konnte machen Hoffnung, dass die Gesellschaft diese Problematik nicht ignoriert. Besonders gefreut, habe ich mich über die Kinder. Ich bin manchmal echt beeindruckt wie erfrischend ehrlich sie alles auf einen Punkt bringen können. Vielleicht schaffen sie es ja, was Generationen vor ihnen nicht haben und der Panda und Co. haben dann eine Chance.

Der WWF begleitet mich eigentlich mein Leben lang. Sei es durch meine Eltern, die Schule (so wie ein simples Schulheft welches mit dem Verein kooperiert hat - gibt es die heute eigentlich noch?). Das Logo ist eines meiner liebsten (Berufskrankheit).

Ever since I saw pictures on the internet, I was looking for this weekend. The WWF is on Panda-tour (or better was, as Hamburg was the final city) and finally visited my hometown. As I unfortunately only had a little time - and it rained heavily in the morning so they had to cover the pandas - I took some pictures in the evening.

Today there are only 1600 pandas left. This is terrifying number, which is why I think it's fantastic that the WWF do such events. Not only is it - to be honest - quite a cute move but also shows the people that there is indeed a problem. Especially the conversations I could listen to really makes you hopeful that the society doesn't ignore the problem. I really loved the kids opinions as they are the most earnest and honest ones. They are simply on point and maybe they are able to do, what my and generations before did not managed to do. And then … maybe the panda and co do have a chance.
